Abstract: The concept of desire has been theoretically renewed and rewritten constantly in the academy, and yet, it continues to motivate our spectatorship, our scholarship, and our criticism. This issue represents an eclectic and powerful reminder of how desire remains an optic through which we see, feel, and think about performance.
