Abstract: Much research has been done in the area of women and entrepreneurship. The existing literature suggests that women entrepreneurs across national boundaries face common hurdles and needs. To the extent that such commonalities exist, this paper proposes six policy principles that can guide governĀ­ments, regardless of country, in fostering female participation in entrepreneurial activity and greater economic growth in general.
